Hailing from diverse backgrounds but united in our common goal of making Hong Kong and its educational environments more inclusive, equitable, and just, the InclusivityHK citywide team is comprised of directors, organizers, and co-directors.
KARMA SAMTANI
Founder and Executive Director
Karma Samtani (he/him) is the Founder and Executive Director of Inclusivity Hong Kong. He attends Li Po Chun United World College. He founded Inclusivity Hong Kong because he believes that every student should have an educational experience unburdened by discimination. Karma is passionate about organizing, writing and making the world a better place, and in his spare time can be found drinking excessive amounts of iced coffee.
MARYAM ABU KHALEEL
Deputy Executive Director
Maryam Abu Khaleel is the newly appointed Deputy Executive Director of Inclusivity Hong Kong. They graduated from Li Po Chun United World College in May 2021, and are currently a gap year student. They joined Inclusivity HK due to its close alignments with their values, and due to a personal connection with many of the issues that the organization is aiming to alleviate. During their gap year, they hope to work more closely with initiatives serving ethnic minority communities as well as LGBTQ+ youth in Hong Kong.
FELICE CHAN
Finance Director
Felice Chan (she/her) is the Finance Director of Inclusivity Hong Kong. She currently attends Diocesan Girls’ School, studying the A-Levels curriculum. Felice joined InclusivityHK because she wants to make an effort in making everyone in her community feel accepted and respected. In her spare time, she can be found reading and drinking hot peppermint tea while burning her favorite basil scent candle.
DHRUV SUREKA
Internal Affairs Director
Dhruv Sureka (he/him) is the Internal Affairs Director of Inclusivity Hong Kong. He studies at Hong Kong International School. Dhruv is eager to give back to his wider community and joined Inclusivity Hong Kong because he believes that everyone should have access to a quality and complete education, regardless of any scenerial factors. In his free time, Dhruv can be found binge watching videos on youtube with a bowl of Indomie next to him.
DIYA ASWANI
Creative Co-Director
Diya Aswani (she/her) is one of the Creative Co-Directors of Inclusivity Hong Kong. She attends the Canadian International School. She joined Inclusivity Hong Kong because she believes strongly in the goals of acceptance, respect and safety that Inclusivity HK promotes and wants to make a difference in her community. Diya is passionate about the visual arts, and in her spare time can be found painting and watching way too much Netflix.
MARJOVIE LIU
Content Director and Head Translator
Marjovie Liu (she/her) is the Content Director and Head Translator of Inclusivity Hong Kong. She attends Sha Tin College. She joined Inclusivity Hong Kong because she is committed to improving equality in a local context. In her spare time, Marjovie can be found napping.
ZOE LIU
Communications Director
Zoe Liu (she/her) is the Communications Director of Inclusivity Hong Kong. She attends Li Po Chun United World College. She joined as the communications director because she believes every student should have an equal and fair chance to education without bias or discrimination. Zoe is passionate about singing, acting, meeting new people and socialising, and in her spare time can be found jabbing her opponent in fencing.
